Our story:
Staged moments, dramatic music & slow motion twirls. If you’ve been searching for wedding films for a while you know exactly the type of film we mean. As independent filmmakers, we saw an opportunity to make a difference, and so our story began with a simple goal: to create wedding films that feel natural and authentic, for couples that want to focus on enjoying moments, not performing for the camera. That simple idea resonated, and since then we've had the privilege of filming at some of the most stunning venues in the world, where we've been capturing happy memories for couples ever since.
Behind the camera:
I’m Johnny Mitchell, founder of Curated Wedding Films. After spending years honing my filmmaking skills in the commercial world, I shot my first wedding for a friend in 2021 and Curated Wedding Films was born. You’ll still find me behind the camera, but I now also work with a small team of expert freelancers to help bring the Curated Wedding Films vision to life. We are based in Vox Studios London, and have been fortunate enough to travel to all corners of the world with our work.
On the day:
Our goal is to create a film that feels candid and authentic, so we always shoot as discretely as possible, don’t do anything too posed, and always focus on capturing the real moments of happiness and joy throughout the day. Think of us as an additional guest with a camera! We will arrive in the morning to capture shots of the venue and everyone getting ready, and we always stay until the party to get all the very best dad dancing on camera.
Once the confetti settles:
The edit is one of the most important aspects of creating a wedding film. So once we’ve worked with you to make meaningful music choices for each section of the day, we pour countless hours into carefully selecting the best moments and refining the flow of the film. After colour grading each scene individually, we will deliver it to you online in stunning 4K, so you can share with your loved ones and relive the joy of your wedding day over and over again.
